| MotoeXotica Classic Cars - Fenton, MO: MotoeXotica is offering another fabulous and rarely seen Buick. This 1948 Buick Roadmaster Convertible is finished in the beautiful shade of Sequoia Cream with burgundy interior which looks fabulous. The car is equipped with the rare Dynaflow transmission, continental kit, power top, power windows and power seat. The straight eight engine has been recently rebuilt less then 2,000 miles ago. The Dynaflow transmission has also been rebuilt about 4 years ago and shifts fine. We purchased this lovely car from a master mechanic who has owned the car since the early 80's. He spent many years going through this car from stem to stem. He made sure everything was and is in good working order. The motor runs like a top, the tranny shifts smoothly, the top goes up with ease and he even added power steering recently to make the car easier to drive in his later years. The car has been driven from Michigan to Florida and back within the last 3 years! The underside does show some patch panels to the floors and has some rust showing behind the left front wheel to the underbody. The body of the car is very solid with no bubbling or rot that we have found. The wheels look great and are wrapped with Firestone wide white 8.20-15 bias ply tires that appear to be newer and have tons of tread life left on them. This is a fantastic Buick that is a pure joy to drive. It will be a welcome addition to any collection or a great vehicle to start a collection with. The current mileage shows 95,153 which is not known to be original for the car or not. VIN number is 50956337 and the car is being sold on a mileage exempt Michigan title. The paint on the car is near show quality and looks fantastic. There are no major imperfections to be found anywhere on the car. The black power top appears to be newer and nearly perfect. It goes up and down with no problems and with good speed. The rear plastic window shows no staining or cracks. All the trim pieces look great with only some very minor dings and scratches. Both front and rear bumpers have a great shine with no pitting or major scratches. The continental kit looks great and really sets this car off. This monster two door convertible measures in at nineteen and a half feet long. The interior has been finished in a beautiful burgundy leatherette and carpet which looks great. It appears that they are both newer and show no major imperfections anywhere. The car does have newer styled seat belts installed. All gauges are in good working order as well as the self winding clock and original AM radio! All lights, blinkers and horn work but the vacuum wipers are currently inoperable. Both spotlights work as well. Under the hood, the straight eight cylinder engine runs great and very smooth. With a push of the accelerator, the car starts right up and goes down the road very smooth. This car drives as good as it looks. No pulling to either side and steers straight and true. The motor was said to have been rebuilt 2,000 miles ago and the Dynaflow transmission around the same time, 4 years ago. The transmission shifts with no problems. $48,500 | |
